West Chester Public Library will be offering bulbs for flowering gardens and books for flowering imaginations at its Fall Bulb and Book Sale on Friday, October 20, and Saturday, October 21 from 9:30 AM to 5 PM.
Nothing brightens spring gardens quite like tulips and daffodils, but to enjoy these blooms they must be planted in the fall. Both single varieties and mixtures, in every color, will be available at the sale. Popular varieties on offer include Giant Darwin Tulips Apricot and Pink Impression, Parade, and Olympic Fame, and Narcissus King Alfred and Ice Follies. To make sure your choices are available, the library recommends pre-ordering in the library or online at www.wcpubliclibrary.org. The deadline for pre-orders
The Fall Bulb and Book Sale will also feature plenty of bargain fiction, nonfiction, and children’s books to cozy up with during the fall and winter as you wait for spring to arrive and your flowering bulbs to burst into bloom.
All proceeds from the Bulb and Book Sale will support the operations and programs of the library, the place where one and all can come, in person or digitally, for information, entertainment, education, and inspiration. Whether instilling a lifelong love of reading in our children and teens, providing resources to local businesses and jobseekers, or offering enriching programs and connection for adults, West Chester Public Library makes our community a better place to live and work.
Those wishing for more information about this event or the library’s programs may call the library’s main number, 610-696-1721, between 9:30 AM and 5 PM, Monday through Saturday.
