Be Creative/Bee Creative
Contact: | 610-644-0138 | bsheridan@ccls.org
Be Creative/Bee Creative is Easttown Library's summer reading program for all ages. The first facet, Be Creative, is shared with other Chester County libraries. Be Creative encourages children to read and to explore their artistic creativity through a variety of programs offered at Easttown Library. Youth 11 years old and younger can earn a t-shirt with the Be Creative logo, an incentive made possible through the generous support of Citadel Federal Credit Union.

Bee Creative, the second facet of the program, is unique to Easttown Library and continues the tradition of giving back to the community.  Easttown Library is partnering with 17 local businesses that have donated funds to the Bee Creative theme.  By reading 14,000 books, youth and adults will “earn” the beehives that these local businesses have sponsored.  The beehives will be donated to families in developing countries via Heifer International.
