Language: Rawandan. Munyurangabo and his friend, Sangwa, leave the city on a journey tied to their pasts. Munyurangabo wants justice for his parents who were killed in the genocide, and Sangwa wants to visit the home he deserted years ago. From two separate tribes, their friendship is tested when Sangwa's wary parents disapprove of Munyurangabo, warning that Hutus and Tutsis are supposed to be enemies. The film will be followed by an informal discussion. Film is unrated and not recommended for children under the age of 17. Film will be screened in its original language with English subtitles. AARP-approved volunteer tax preparers will be available on Mondays from Feb. 2-April 13. This free program assists seniors and qualifying low- and moderate-income individuals with tax preparation. Assistance is available by appointment only. Please call the library to sign up for hour-and-a-half sessions, or sign up at the library's circulation desk. If you require assistance but cannot attend during scheduled sessions, please let our library staff know and a volunteer will contact you.
