Healthy Minds, Healthy Bodies
In 2011, Chester County Library and Henrietta Hankin Branch Library launched the Healthy Minds, Healthy Bodies initiative in partnership with the Chester County Commissioners. The mission of the program is to provide the community with information and resources related to health and wellness. The initiative offers programs on medical information, diabetes, heart disease, nutritional l supplements and others. To date, nearly 4,000 community members have attended these programs.
Toward this goal, the Libraries celebrated Healthy Minds, Healthy Bodies at Community Day on May 1, 2011 with a fun filled afternoon of healthy activities and information attended by 1,800 people.
