REGULAR PROGRAMS

Children - September through May, refer to calendar for Summer Storytime schedule. Search the calendar by Downingtown library and children and month for more details.

Raise A Reader Storytime – Babies 0-23 months
Interactive program for parent and child that is held 5 times a year for 4 weeks each.
Toddler Storytime – Children 2 – 3 years of age
Interactive program for parent and child that is held 5 times a year for 5 weeks each.
Three-Year Old Storytime
Held throughout the year on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. and Thursday at 9:30 a.m. No registration is required.
Four-Six Year Old Storytime
Held throughout the year on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. No registration is required.

Adults

Adult Book Club meets the 4th Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m.

SPECIAL PROGRAMS

Children

Make A Splash @ Your Library is an experiment-focused course for children entering grade two through six, taught by certified teachers on topics that vary from year to year. This year's theme will be Genetics.

Science in the Summer consists of four one-hour classes and will take place upstairs at the library Monday, June 28, through Thursday, July 1. Children in Level I (entering Grades 2 and 3) will meet from 1:45 to 2:45P.M. Children in Level II (entering Grades 4, 5 and 6) will meet from 3:00 to 4:00P.M. on the same days.

Registration is free, and will be held throughout the month of May at the Downingtown Library. Parents must sign in to register at the circulation desk. Due to limited class size, participants will be chosen by lottery with notification by June 7.
