EventsAnnual Family Program to celebrate "National Library Week"
Volunteer Opportunities for middle and High School students Various types of activities for middle-schoolers. Ex: Trivia contests, Craft programs, etc. Orientations of the library and its services for groups throughout the year. Ex: pre-schoolers, Scout Troops and home-schoolers. Computer Classes - Free of charge but sign up is required. Intro to Internet, Word, and Email offered. GED (high school diploma) preparation and training with computer and materials provided by "WHYY" for this purpose. Tutoring site for ESL (English as a second language) and has materials available for this purpose. Drop off site for Parkesburg Food Cupboard donations and for eyeglass donations for the Lions Club.
Special Events: Garden Tour Golf Tourney first Monday in June each year. Location, sponsors and player information available at library. "Christmas in Parkesburg and Atglen" . A holiday tour of homes in the area held the first Saturday in December. Tickets available at the library in November to the day of the tour.
