Summer Happenings at Parkesburg Free Library

Knitting in the Library 

Every Thursday, 6:30-8:00 pm in the library. Bring your own knitting or crochet! Bring a mask and remember to socially distance.

 

PAWS for Reading is back! 

Starting May 18th, 5:30 – 6:30, then resumes its regular schedule: 3rd Tuesdays of the month, 5:30-6:30. Kids read to a friendly dog. Call for a 15 minute spot.

 

Parkesburg Library Community Gardens 

Come out Monday evenings at 5:30 to volunteer and learn in our flower gardens.

In Children’s Room during library hours. Lightly used books, DVDs, CDs, etc. have been selected for your pleasure!

 

Final Fridays 

We participate in Parkesburg Borough’s Final Fridays, held the last Friday of the month from 5:00 – 8:00.

Exploring Chester County Parks (for adults) presented by a Chester County Park Ranger

Wednesday, August 4, 2:00 – 3:00. Sign up at the library, or call the library at 610-857-5165.


Creatures of the Creek (for kids) presented by a Chester County Park Ranger

Wednesday, August 18, 2:00 – 3:00. Sign up at the library, or call the library at 610-857-5165.


Teen Gardening Class with Parkesburg Point

Monday, August 9th, 4:30 – 5:45. Teens in grades 7 – 10 will learn organic vegetable gardening from local teen farmer, Armen, who is the Parkesburg Library Garden Volunteer Coordinator. Participants may return to the garden as a guest gardener to water & care for their plant & harvest the delicious organic fall vegetable it grows! Sign up at The Parkesburg Point. Space is limited.
